This page will list where Leia Bespin could be found on cards or in baggies.
I will also try to show what COO, the specific figure variant, blaster and cape that shipped originally where possible.
This will help to ensure that your figure is equipped with the proper accessories.

NOTE:
COO#3 & COO#6 Turtle Necks are impossible for me to distinguish carded since they are the same figure, just with COO#6 having Hong Kong scarred out.
I can logically guess that the earlier the card version is, the figure inside would most likely be COO#3 (full COO). The later the card release is where it gets harder to confirm which COO it is.

I find this very odd that the same factory (HG) had both V2 & V3 capes.

TOY TONI NOTES:
These General Mills cards are subject to scrutiny as of Dec. 2013 regarding possible after factory sealing of figures to the bubbles.
As noted above, a COO#4 has been spotted inside this cardback, but that should be impossible since the COO#4 didn't exist that early.
There are many threads on the internet now that explain the situation so I will not go into it, but from what I can tell, the two cited examples above cannot be relied upon as real examples of carded figures from the factory.

Here is a side by side of a legit MOC example next to an AFA85 Toy Toni (right side). You can see the bubbles are different.

Baggies

Leia Bespin is confirmed to exist in four baggie styles.

US

SW-A
Category 5++
Very Rare

Confirmed COO: COO#2 Crew Neck Cross Eyed
Confirmed Blaster V4 Blue
Confirmed Cape: V3
The SW-A baggie of Leia Bespin (an ESB figure) is extremely rare. To date there are two known examples I have heard of but can only confirm the one I have which is the only AFA graded example that exists.
The origin of this baggie is from the very rare ESB Special Action Figure Display Stand. At least two of those stands were confirmed to be Toy Fair mockups. It is possible that since this ESB figure is found in a rare SW-A baggie that this baggie could have originated from one of those examples.
You can see that stand HERE at THESWCA
Although the article shows an ESB-C baggie, Frank M and Chris P have both confirmed that is where the SW-A baggies came from.

WHERE DID THE BAGGIES COME FROM?

Leia Bespin in baggies could have been found in:
  • Sears - 9 Pack [49-59035 / No. 38941] - 1980
    • ESB-C - Crew Neck
  • Montgomery Ward - 4 Pack [48-24512] - 1980
  • Spiegel - 4 Pack [57 T 4571] * Same as JC Penny 4 Pack [928-0496] - 1980
  • JC Penney - 4 Pack [928-0496] * Same as Spiegel 4 Pack [57 T 4571] - 1980
  • JC Penney - 10 Pack [928-0439] - 1980
    • ESB-C - Crew Neck
  • 10 Pack [39312]
    • Unconfirmed - most likely ESB-C - Crew Neck - Same as JC Penney [928-0439]?
  • JC Penney - 4 Pack [655-1659] - 1982
    • ESB-A - Turtle Neck
  • The extrememly rare ESB Special Action Figure Display Stand
    • SW-A baggie which is extrememly rare
    • ESB-C baggie (shown in the above SWCA article)

FAKE BAGGIES

As a precaution, be aware that baggies can be and are faked and are all over the place.
I recently bought what I thought was an ESB-C Turtle Neck (COO#3 or #6) only to find out that to this date (Oct 2013) there are no confirmed baggie Leia Bespins with the turtle neck in an ESB-C baggie. Only the ESB-A has a confirmed turtle neck (COO#1).
Frank M (frunkstar) broke the news to me about my baggie. I never would have thought that a figure wouldn't have been available in a baggie and seeing how popular and somewhat common the turtle necks COO#3 & #6 are, I just assumed it to be legit.

Take it as you will for now, but until we can confirm one exists, I am going to assume that any ESB-C Turtle neck is a fake.
